statement

My work deals with ideas of balance, tension, gravity, and energy.  The forces of attraction and our concept of time and space are things we all perceive differently.     

By using properties of both painting and sculpture, these pieces aim to engage the viewer in a playful yet meditative way.  Whether its a simple gesture, or a detailed arrangement of many parts, this artwork brings up issues of mortality and structure.
